This is a part-time position offering 2-3 shifts per week, for a total of 10 to 15 hours , providing meaningful one-on-one support that makes a real difference in someone's life. Our participant is looking for a support worker who can build a comfortable, trusting relationship. She values someone who is respectful, understanding, and supportive of the young adult and the family's choices including building independence and goals. This role involves providing assistance with: Psychosocial support - Building confidence, emotional wellbeing, and social connection Community access - Accompanying the participant to appointments, social activities, and community engagement Household tasks - Supporting with daily living activities to maintain independence at home, including cleaning of the home environment We're seeking an experienced and compassionate Disability Support Worker with Mental Health experience with ASD level 2 to join our growing family of passionate professionals in this unique, person-centred role. You'll provide holistic support, focusing on building independence, community participation, and maintaining a calm, structured approach to daily living. More importantly, you will be improving the young adult's quality of life You'll play a vital role in empowering participants through skill development, household support, and compassionate care, helping participants live their best life in their own home and within their community. We're looking for someone who Has experience in supporting people with Mental Health conditions including ASD Level 2 Is warm, patient, and builds rapport easily Respects the participant's choices and preferences in all aspects of care Is reliable, punctual, and communicates well Understands the importance of dignity, privacy, and personal boundaries in support work Minimum Requirements Certificate 4 in Mental Health.
